Group Therapy

Organized around process: what happens between people, in real time, when their relational styles meet.

You walk into a room with strangers: different jobs, different histories, different versions of what brought them here. Within a few weeks, something else becomes visible: the patterns that shape how each of you connects, protects yourself, and loves don’t actually need a shared backstory to recognize each other.

That recognition is the engine of group therapy, and it’s why I built mine around the Relationship Animals framework. Eight archetypes describe how people tend to show up in connection with others. Members come from different genders, orientations, and walks of life, and that range isn’t a compromise. It’s the point. Watching your archetype meet someone else’s tells you more about your own patterns than a room full of people just like you ever could.

"This isn't a group organized around a single diagnosis or demographic. It's organized around process: what happens between people, in real time, when their relational styles meet."

How to Join

Every group starts with an individual session first. In that session, I get an understanding of what you’re looking for and what you’ve struggled with.

I then explain what group therapy involves, week to week. And I make a clinical judgment about fit, both whether group therapy is right for you now, and if so, which group is the best fit.

I have two ongoing men’s groups that I have been running for years. If you are interested, let me know. Openings vary, and I’ll let you know what’s available if you reach out.
